Shingrix Vaccination: Protection against Varicella Zoster Virus (Shingles)

What The Varicella Zoster Virus, also known as the Shingles Virus, is a painful viral infection caused by the same virus that causes Chickenpox. As we age, our immune system naturally weakens. As a result, this virus may reactivate, increasing the risk of developing Shingles as an adult. Shingles can lead to debilitating nerve pain that can last months or years.
